If you read a lot of business books, you’ll come across the same tired quotations and proverbs over and over. Here’s one that was totally new to me:
If you are planning for one year, grow rice.
If you are planning for 20 years, grow trees.
If you are planning for centuries, grow men.
– Chinese Proverb
Replace “men” with “people” and I resonate with this. As a leader in business, at home and in the community, I think this perspective is vitally important. What’s your perspective?
